The center operates on the central belief that children grow and thrive best in a healthy family environment. All FIS staff advocate for families, partnering with them to ensure that their voices are heard and that they have access to necessary services and supports. The FIS Center for Family Success also advocates to effect change in the broader political and social arenas.
We strive to:
remain an independent and critical voice
speak out for new legislation, policies and practices that are needed to enable children and families to lead successful lives
highlight where existing policy implementation should be improved
argue for new policy responses to the needs of children and families
lend support and partner with others working for systems and social change
