For the first time this holiday season, Family Intervention Services will be aided by Operation Holiday, a Morristown non-profit that helps social service agencies during the Holiday season. A Partnership between the Women's Club of Morristown and the Morris County Daily Record, last year Operation Holiday provided holiday presents for nearly 600 families from local agencies. Starting the week before Thanksgiving, The Daily Record runs front-page stories that highlight different families and their particular needs. Readers can respond with a financial contribution or can "adopt" a particular family. Many local schools, scout troops and area companies have found this to be a very meaningful and rewarding way of celebrating the holidays.
