The Kid Connection Program is looking for committed volunteers to mentor, skill build and spend quality time with children and families. Volunteers will be thoroughly trained and are asked to commit themselves to a child or family for a minimum of one year, about 8-10 hours per month. Prospective volunteers must be a least 18 years of age.
Kid Connection staff will pair a volunteer with a child or family based on their mutual interests, needs and location. We are looking for volunteers to tutor, lend a hand with school projects, and share activities, interests or hobbies that they enjoy with the child or family. Volunteers will have the on-going support of Kid Connection staff.
There would be a one day training course held on a Saturday in East Orange from 9:30am until 4:00pm. For more information, please contact Loredana Henry, Volunteer Program Coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Penny Dragonetti, Volunteer Program Assistant (email@example.com) at 973-324-7880.
The Kid Connection Program serves 150 children and their families in 9 counties. It is a collaboration between Family Intervention Services (www.fisnj.org) and YCS (www.ycs.org), organizations that support the well-being of children and families across New Jersey. By volunteering you can help promote stronger, healthier and more successful children, families and communities. Please join us.
